Made from densely woven 100% premium cotton, grown sustainably in Africa, Tembo face masks are reusable, machine washable and easy  to care for.

Empowering women, our masks are handmade in Queens, NYC by an immigrant women’s sewing cooperative. The women work from their homes. In doing so, Tembo makes economic opportunity available to them where there was none. Today, our work from home model has proven beneficial during the COVID-19 crisis allowing us to continue production seamlessly in a safe manner and has allowed for our seamstresses to provide for their families during a time of economic hardship. A portion of our mask proceeds go to Sanctuary for Families, New York’s leading provider of services for survivors of gender violence.

Our masks are designed to be comfortable, fashionable and meet CDC requirements.
