“Tembo” means elephant in Swahili, and elephants have always been my favorite animal for their strength, wisdom, and fierce protectiveness. Female elephants lead their herds with unwavering care, guiding and protecting their young within close-knit families. These matriarchs stand as symbols of leadership, guardianship, and resilience—traits that resonate deeply with my values.
Tembo’s Elephant Family print embodies this powerful bond. With textures of African Mudcloth woven into the design, it celebrates the strength of women who, like elephants, fiercely protect their families and communities, showing us what it means to lead with both heart and strength.
