Our tote sets are made from 100% cotton, African wax fabric. The "classic" prints tell the stories of Africa and woman empowerment through their beautiful patterns. Empowering women, our masks and totes are handmade in Queens, NYC by an immigrant women’s sewing cooperative. The women work from their homes. In doing so, Tembo makes economic opportunity available to them where there was none. Today, our work from home model has proven beneficial during the COVID-19 crisis allowing us to continue production seamlessly in a safe manner.
